UNIX is an operating system multi-user, multi-tasks originally developed in 60 years by the laboratories AT & T Bell. Most UNIX is written in the C programming language and is therefore capable of operating over a wide range of architectures. Linux, sometimes called GNU / Linux is an operating system POSIX. The GNU project began in 1984 with the aim of creating a free version of UNIX. The project lacks a core operating fully until 1991 when a 3rd party kernel called Linux was launched by Linus Torvalds. The Linux kernel is normally published in conjunction with various packages from the GNU project and other sources. Thus, the main success of Linux is its modular design, the user can adapt its own systems to the Linux kernel.
